Incomplete applications, copied application, late applications or resumes will be returned.

CTSI requires a Tribal Application be completed, Resumes are not accepted.

The Accounting Department’s function is to pay, post, receive, balance and reconcile the Tribal financial records. Occasionally an employee may be required to perform other duties that are not in their current job description.  The Accounting Department operates as a team in accomplishing all activities.    

High school diploma or GED. (Associates degree preferred).  Two (2) years clerical experience.  Two (2) years exposure working with/in general accounting cycle functions.  Valid Oregon State Driver’s License is preferred. Employment contingent on results of a background investigation and drug test.

The Accounting Assistant/Office Support Coordinator is to greet and directs visitors, answer the phone, and take messages for the organization.  Work all areas in accounts payable:  coding, entering, editing, from source documents, running and mail out of checks.  Prepares correspondence, copying, and faxing.  Maintains extensive files, including accounting files.  Maintains stock and ordering office supplies.  Receives and distributes incoming mail.  Creates and codes Accounts Payable check requests.  Faxes copies of all Contract Health payments to the Siletz Clinic.  Receives and documents client payments, including leases, rents, STRCP payments and other receivables.  Prepares deposit paperwork and deposits at the financial institution.  Photocopies check and bank deposit receipt for files.  Schedules and obtains signatures for checks, and ensures they are mailed out promptly. Assists with monthly elder stipends and Medicare reimbursement checks.  Uses signature machine and prepares for mailing in a timely manner.  Keeps accounting of postage processed with mailing machine, adds postage funds as necessary, preparing postage cost breakdown by department.  Prepare daily sales entries for enterprises.  Cross train in all aspects of Siletz Tribal Revolving Credit Program (STRCP).  Cross trains for taking committee minutes.  Checks mail box at the Casino twice a week or as needed.  Assists management with general tasks.  Other duties as assigned. 

All new employees will be evaluated after completing their first six months of employment. After that period, all Employees will be evaluated on an annual basis.

All employees are considered “at-will” employees, meaning STBC or the employee may terminate the employment relationship at any time with or without cause or notice.
