Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Siletz Tribal Human Resources Department to obtain, develop and train the most important resource the Tribe has – human resources. This department will provide service to Tribal programs and employment applicants in an efficient, respectful and helpful manner. It will assist employees with skill development to ensure quality services to Tribal members and personal growth of Tribal employees.

Please note that applications at this time cannot be emailed through the CTSI website.  Applications may be emailed directly to the human resources email.  Applications must be complete and contain the applicant’s signature.    If you wish to apply for multiple positions with The Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, please submit a new completed application for each position desired.

Working under the direct supervision of the STBC Commercial Property Manager, the Property Management Specialist is responsible for property management functions ranging from lease document development to oversight of maintenance contracts to ensure that the companies' interests are protected, while maintaining compliance with agreed upon terms. In addition to property management functions, this position also maintains responsibilities for facilitating the administrative requirements associated with leases and reporting to various boards, as well as the review and handling of contract documents. This position requires an acute attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple competing properties, a collaborative work ethic, and an unquestionable commitment to maintain confidentiality.

Bachelor's degree (B.A) or three to five years related experience with experience in property management duties or accounting preferred. The following is a list of some of the core knowledge, skills and abilities for successful performance in the position: Must be able to travel to all portfolio locations, Tribal locations or other national and regional destinations as necessary. Must also be able to work a flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Must possess a valid driver's license, and vehicle insurance. Must have an experienced background for computer systems and programs, such as Outlook and Excel. Any experience in accounting systems and property management systems is preferred. Must be sensitive to the diversity of Siletz and other Indian cultures. Knowledge of Siletz Tribal law, and other applicable business commercial laws and regulations, and of the benefits and limitations of Tribal sovereignty. General knowledge of Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians' culture and history.

Fully support the Commercial Property Manager and the success of the STBC Property Management Department. Communicate with relevant parties on all Company contracts, independently conducting research when applicable and coordinating with relevant parties for timely and accurate execution of such documents. Understand the goals, purpose, intent and implications of contracts and the contract negotiation process - conducting independent research as-needed to enhance understanding. Be responsible for contracts management: Consistent, thorough and accurate review of Company contracts, including purchase/sale agreements, business entity documents, real estate transaction documents, and lease-related documents. Handle office tasks, such as generating reports and presentations, and setting up for meetings (online or in person). Use computers to generate reports, transcribe minutes from meetings, create presentations, and conduct research. Maintain polite and professional communications via phone, email, and mail. Establish and maintain strong and positive relationships with tenants, vendors, contractors, and government entities. Monitor monthly income statements to ensure tenants are in compliance with lease terms. Maintain and effectively utilize property management software to facilitate lease compliance, timely communications, accounting automation of A/P and A/R functions, and accounting compliance exports. Oversee service contracts, tracking expirations and preparing bid packages when necessary for the Commercial Property Manager review. Code portfolio invoices in accordance with budget for payment and processing. Assist with completing regular inspections of the properties and recommends alterations and/or maintenance of the property and oversees work as necessary. Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports for review and approval by the Commercial Property Manager. Assist in budget preparation/draft annual budget for review and approval by STBC Board. Serve as a liaison between tenant and Commercial Property Manager and responds to tenant need in a timely manner to meet lease obligations. Monitor and tracks work proposals and other service requests as necessary. Work directly with Office Coordinator in Monitoring and tracking gross sales information. Assist with tenant account reconciliations, aged delinquencies and other A/R driven duties. Assist with preparation of year-end common area maintenance reconciliations
Maintain high level of organization with a high volume of complex information and multiple projects
Assimilate new information and apply to existing work product. Maintain consistent track record of success with multiple priorities and projects involving collection of requisite information. Maintain perspective of Company's long-term strategies and culture. All other duties as assigned by the Commercial Property Manager.

All new employees will be evaluated after completing their first six months of employment. After that period, all Employees will be evaluated on an annual basis.

All employees are considered "at-will" employees, meaning STBC or the employee may terminate the employment relationship at any time with or without cause or notice.
