Incomplete applications, copied application, late applications or resumes will be returned.

CTSI requires a Tribal Application be completed, Resumes are not accepted.

The Accounting Department's function is to pay, post, receive, balance and reconcile the Tribal financial records. Occasionally an employee may be required to perform other duties that are not in their current job description. The Accounting Department operates as a team in accomplishing all activities.

Associate's degree in Accounting -OR- an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Experience in: Computerized accounting systems and windows applications. Ability to: Use ten-key and other office equipment. Read and understand financial reports, preferred. Occasionally work evenings and weekends. Other: Must be able to occasionally work some weekends and evenings.

Work all areas in accounts payable: coding, entering, editing, from source documents, running and mail out of checks. Prepare disbursement checks and maintain Cash Disbursement journal. Resolve billing disputes with vendors. Work with Enrollment staff to ensure accurate information for all Tribal members prior to annual per capital distribution. Enter address corrections. Maintain and reconcile assigned accounts. Maintain 1099 vendor information required to prepare and distribute 1099 forms and required IRS reports at year end. Tax deposits as required. Provides general technical assistance regarding accounting procedures to service users. Perform tasks assigned by Accountant, Accounting Supervisors and Bookkeeper I's. Prepare contract health entries. Fill in for Bookkeeper III when absent. Issue purchase order numbers and maintain vendor numbers. Other duties as assigned.

All new employees will serve a six-month probationary period to enable the General Manger to determine their suitability as a tribal employee. After the six-month probation the employee will be evaluated of his/her performance and at that time it will be decided if the employee is entitled to a regular employee status.

Conditions of Employment:

The selectee will be required to submit to a urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use before employment.
