Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Siletz Tribal Human Resources Department to obtain, develop and train the most important resource the Tribe has – human resources. This department will provide service to Tribal programs and employment applicants in an efficient, respectful and helpful manner. It will assist employees with skill development to ensure quality services to Tribal members and personal growth of Tribal employees.

 

NOTE: 

Applications may be mailed, emailed, faxed, or hand-delivered to our office. 

Please note that applications at this time cannot be emailed through the CTSI website.  Applications may be emailed directly to the human resources email.  Applications must be complete and contain the applicant’s signature.    If you wish to apply for multiple positions with The Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, please submit a new completed application for each position desired.

Incomplete applications, late applications, and resumes without an application will be returned.  CTSI requires that a Tribal application be completed.  Resumes will not be accepted in place of a completed application.

Applications must be received by 4:30pm on the position’s closing date.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Planning, Public Administration, Business, or related field, and two years' experience in the planning field, - OR - an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Knowledge of: Planning in such areas as geography, economics, political science, engineering, architecture, sociology, economic development, and public administration. Computer word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software. Experience in: Tribal Planning experience, preferred
Grant writing. Analytical skills and creative ability. Ability to: Communicate effectively using both verbal and written skills. Draft descriptive factual background memorandum or summaries, including technical writing and editing skills, with ability to apply those skills to a wide variety of projects. Effectively coordinate people and projects. Identify goals, objectives, and resources. Formulate and evaluate plans to reach goals and objectives. Relate the effect of planning decisions on the mission and goals of the Tribe. Other: Must possess a current, valid Oregon State driver's license, insurance coverage, and eligible to operate a GSA vehicle

Duties:
Work with management staff in development of grant applications, including advising and coordinating the completion of applications materials and packets. Coordinate grant-writing activities for, and between Tribal programs. This includes locating funding sources, preparing or assisting with preparation and submission of grant applications, and budget preparation. Also includes providing technical assistance and final review of grant applications submitted by Program staff. Collect, assembles, and analyzes data and prepares appropriate reports as required within the individual grant funding projects
Identify problems; participate in Tribal meetings to identity funding sources for innovative new programs that will improve economic and living standards for the Siletz Tribe and its members. Other duties as assigned.

All new employees will serve a six-month probationary period to enable the General Manger to determine their suitability as a tribal employee. After the six-month probation the employee will be evaluated of his/her performance and at that time it will be decided if the employee is entitled to a regular employee status.

Conditions of Employment:

The selectee will be required to submit to a urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use before employment.
