CTSI is pleased to offer a sign-on bonus for this position of $1,000. The selected applicant shall receive one-half the incentive in the first paycheck and the second half after successful completion of 6 (six) consecutive months of employment provided the employee remains employed.  The Sign-on Incentive is not part of the base salary calculation and is considered taxable income.  The Sign-on Incentive is not included in retirement salary calculations.  A full copy of the incentive policy is available upon request.

This position is responsible for providing clerical assistance for the Social and Human Services Department consisting of 477-Self Sufficiency Program, Home Visiting, Indian Child Welfare, Elders, USDA and Vocational Rehabilitation.


High school diploma or GED and two years clerical experience in a general office setting,  OR an equivalent combination of education and experience ORsatisfactory completion of a related Work Experience placement and demonstrated skills to perform the duties for this position. Knowledge of: Correct punctuation, capitalization, spelling, and grammar. Experience in: Working with word processing, database, and spreadsheet software, preferred. Working with office equipment including:  computers, photocopier, calculator, FAX, and multi-user telephone system, preferred. Working with the public and maintaining good working relations with co-workers. Ability to: Type 40 words per minute accurately. Communicate effectively, both written and verbal. Work under pressure with the flexibility to handle several tasks at one time. Demonstrated characteristics of tact, diplomacy and mature judgment in working with target populations and individuals of varying social, educational and economic backgrounds. Other: Must be a dependable self-starter and able to work independently under minimal supervision. Must adhere to the confidentiality of information and individuals as described in the CTSI Management Manual and other applicable federal laws and regulations. Must possess a valid driver’s license, insurance and be eligible to drive a GSA vehicle.


Provide, clerical, technical and administrative assistance to Social and Human Services Department supervisors and staff, including typing, copying, distributing, filing, monthly mailing, purchasing, scheduling appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements and answering telephones. Provide program, application and referral services to clients. Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and correspondence. Greet, direct clients and visitors to appropriate personnel and departments, handling routine requests within capabilities. Assist with client/student transports as needed. Assist with parent/child(ren) visitations as needed. Assist with program operations, and maintain statistical information for Tribal programs, archiving files and records. Develop monthly newsletters for Elders and Foster Parents. ICW file maintenance including case noting in TAS – eagle sun, updating W drive family files and updating in TAS – eagle sun ensuring all case specific information is documented in the proper files. Assist with reports as directed by supervisor. Provides back up for Title VI coordinator on processing check requests and timesheets for Title VI caregivers. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

After the six-month probation the employee will be evaluated of his/her performance and at that time, it will be, decided if the employee is entitled to a regular employee status.

Conditions of Employment
