This position is the primary operator for a multi-line telephone system at the Siletz Tribal Administration Building. This position serves as key person for greeting clients and visitors and directing individuals to appropriate personnel or department. This position also provides clerical support to Central Administration and other Tribal departments as needed.
High school diploma or GED and knowledge of general office experience, -OR- successful completion of WEX program in related field. Knowledge of: Correct punctuation, capitalization, spelling, and grammar, preferred. Ability to: Operate a multi-line telephone system and demonstrate excellent telephone communication techniques. Must have a friendly voice and telephone manner. Relate to Tribal Council, Tribal members, and the general public. Use Microsoft Office programs, preferred. Operate office equipment, preferred.
Operates multi-line telephone equipment to relay incoming calls, and/or interoffice calls. May supply information to callers, take messages, and announce visitors. Greets clients and visitors, directing individuals to appropriate destination. Maintains daily visitor log. May issue visitor’s badge when required. May provide clerical services including typing, copying, and faxing. Provides back up support to the Fleet department to assist with GSA fleet vehicles. May participate in training programs, attend staff meetings, and share general office housekeeping duties with other staff. May perform variety of other duties as assigned.
All new employees will serve a six-month probationary period to enable the General Manger to determine their suitability as a tribal employee. After the six-month probation the employee will be evaluated of his/her performance and at that time, it will be, decided if the employee is entitled to a regular employee status.

Conditions of Employment
